Research & Development
One of the main functioning of Laboratories is Research & Development in the area of textiles. The Mumbai Laboratory along with CTRL (Now CIRCOT) carried out an R&D on Flame retardant textile for Ministry of Defence. In this process, a new patented method of Phosporization of Cotton was developed. Many of officials of laboratory have worked on R&D projects which lead to their gaining higher qualifications like M.
